Polishing

Polishing, if done regularly, shouldn’t take up too much of your time and won’t be at all arduous, as long as you do the basics right.

Before you polish your shoes, ensure that they are not wet, remove any laces that may be in the shoes, and give the shoes a good clean once over with one of the Collonil cleaning products. You have a choice between Clean and care or the organic Bamboo lotion that you are able to purchase from our website.

You want to make sure that there is no dirt or dust on the leather before you apply any polishing products and the leather is dry from using the cleaning products.

Leather is a natural product and will respond well to the care that you give it, so get yourself a horsehair brush for buffing, Saphir shoe cream, and then apply Saphir beeswax polish.

Once the shoes have been cleaned, apply the shoe cream to add colour and to nourish the leather. Once you have buffed the shoes after applying the cream, apply the wax. allow to sit for a couple of minutes then buff the shoes. By using this routine the leather will be nourished and protected. Finish off by inserting your laces.
